Coach Carlie was at it again this weekend as she competed in the O.C. Throwdown which took place at the O.C. Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. She finished in a strong 18th place out of 75 of some of the fittest women around! Here is a recap of the action:
Saturday WOD 1: Carlie started the competition bright and early Saturday morning with a 7K run in some pretty frigid temps! This wasn’t just your typical 7K. In true CrossFit fassion, she had to carry a 45 pound sandbag the last 1.5 miles! She finished in 43:22 at that placed her in 19th place.
Saturday WOD 2: Start with 6 muscle ups, then 4 rounds of: 8 chest-to-bar pull ups, 8 box jumps, then finish with 6 more muscle ups. She got almost all the way through the WOD completing all but her last 3 muscle ups. That placed her in 30th on that WOD.
Saturday WOD 3: 3 rounds of: 8 shoulder to overhead (125#), 14 pistols, then 3 rounds of: 8 front squats (125#), 16 GHD sit ups, then 3 rounds of: 4 ground to overhead (125#), 2- 20′ rope climbs . She got all the way to 1 rope climb in the second round.
Sunday WOD 4: Clean ladder. This was progressive attempts at a clean that increases in weight with each successful lift. Carlie got all the way up to 200 pounds. Thats a 15# PR!!!!! She finished 17th in that WOD.
Sunday WOD 5: 30 wallballs, 15 snatches at 95 pounds, 30 wallballs, 12 snatches at 105 pounds, 30 wallballs, 9 snatches at 125 pounds. She finished 15th in that WOD.
Sunday WOD 6: Only the top 16 females moved onto this WOD. Carlie just missed it!
So do you guys think Carlie may be a little tired?

Not feeling 100% my chest is killing me and I have been here since 5:45 FREEZING MY BUTT OFF!! But I had to complete this crazy challenge!!!
