Today’s WOD will include Burpees (Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Burpees!)  I often have wondered about the history of the Burpee (Yes, I know, I need to get a life!)   According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the exercise was named in the 1930s for American psychologist Royal H. Burpee, who developed the Burpee test. Consisting of a series of the exercises performed in rapid succession, the test was meant to measure agility and coordination.[1] It is not clear whether the exercise itself was invented by Burpee, or if his test merely popularized it. Wikipedia is also another place to go to get some additional information on the Burpee.  Whether you care to know the history of the Burpee or not, just know this……They suck!  But,  if you want to get fit (and I know you do!) then you better be doing Burpees!  Have Fun!

  10. Hey guys we are thinking about our next Challenge we need to see how many of you would be interested!! We would like to do a Water Dunk challenge(measure body fat)..Your buy-in is to pay for you test before and after….We will reward the two (1guy & 1 lady) that loses the most body fat!! So by a show of comments let see who is up for the challenge!!! If we have 20 people or more it will be $65 for the test and retest!!
