The key part of our 6-Week Paleo Challenge is tracking your meals in a food log. Seeing your meals written down or typed out on a screen gives you and your coaches a better idea of how well your food intake is helping you optimize performance. There are many ways that you can track what you eat.
Notebook
Keep it classic and write it down in a notebook of some kind. It’s as easy as it sounds. We have a few composition notebooks up for grabs in the gym. Ask one of your coaches and we can set you up. First come, first served.
FitDay
FitDay is a free online diet journal and calorie tracker. It’s quick and easy. There is even a mobile version for iPhone users. Register for a free account and start tracking.
Social Media
We know most of you are on Facebook. There will be a Group page set up later this week for challenge participants. But the possibilities do not end there. You can also use a number of free personal blogging services like Blogger or Tumblr. Tumblr is well suited for journaling as you can post pictures (of your meals, perhaps), links (recipes, blogs, etc.) or text posts (meals, observations regarding well-being during the challenge) via your personal computer or mobile enabled devices. Share your personal URL with other challenge participants and you can follow each other’s progress during the 6-weeks and beyond.
These are just a few options. Get creative, stay accountable and enjoy the process.
